We want to recognize an everyday hero here in our community for his selflessness and quick actions. Engine 19, Medic 19, and Battalion 4 personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision last summer where a civilian acted selflessly to help another resident in need. This good Samaritan heard a loud commotion near his home and investigated the noise, only to find a vehicle upside down and beginning to catch fire. Dr. Verma has lived in Gwinnett County for more than 25 years and is the associate medical director for Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
