As we bring National Physicians Week, we want to bring attention to Drs' commitment and lifesaving work. Neha Verma and Patrick McDougal here in Gwinnett County. Dr. Verma has lived in Gwinnett County for more than 25 years and is the associate medical director for Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s Emergency Department. In the department, she oversees the education of EMT and paramedic trainees at the Training Academy in Dacula. Celebrate a Gwinnett Father-Son Duo Quick Action On Fire

We want to celebrate a Gwinnett father-son duo who proved that even the simplest actions in a fire response can save lives. Last year, Company 30 responded to a house fire and learned that a neighbor helped ensure a quick response. A young resident saw the fire from his bedroom and told his dad, who immediately called 911. The father also alerted his household and neighbors before helping them evacuate. House Fire – Firefighters At Winthrope Way

This afternoon, firefighters responded to the 2600 block of Winthrope Way in Lawrenceville for a house fire. Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames with two hose lines, searched the home, and assessed one individual with minor injuries. The cause of the fire was accidental and the occupants were notified of the fire by their smoke alarms.
