As we bring National Physicians Week, we want to bring attention to Drs' commitment and lifesaving work. Neha Verma and Patrick McDougal here in Gwinnett County. Dr. Verma has lived in Gwinnett County for more than 25 years and is the associate medical director for Piedmont Eastside Medical Center’s Emergency Department. In the department, she oversees the education of EMT and paramedic trainees at the Training Academy in Dacula. Dr. McDougal has served as a medical director with our department since 2016 and also serves the community as a part-time emergency physician in the Northside hospital system. McDougal works with…

Fire crews battled an early morning house fire on the 5300 block of Durham View Court in Lilburn. Everyone escaped safely, however, four adults were displaced by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. For more Pics : 

Did you know that Gwinnett operates 13 glass recycling locations? Join Gwinnett Solid Waste and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful at pop-up glass recycling events throughout the county in March and April. Residents are encouraged to bring their glass to recycle and receive free bags and other items at each event.The next pop-up is Monday, March 24, at Bethesda Park in Lawrenceville from noon to 4:00 p.m. Visit GwinnettCounty.com/Recycling for future pop-up events. We want to celebrate a Gwinnett father-son duo who proved that even the simplest actions in a fire response can save lives. Last year, Company 30 responded to a house fire and learned that a neighbor helped ensure a quick response. A young resident saw the fire from his bedroom and told his dad, who immediately called 911. The father also alerted his household and neighbors before helping them evacuate. Thanks to the actions of this father and son, our firefighters were able to get to the scene quickly and contain the damage to the property. Even a few more…
