We want to celebrate a Gwinnett father-son duo who proved that even the simplest actions in a fire response can save lives.
Last year, Company 30 responded to a house fire and learned that a neighbor helped ensure a quick response.
A young resident saw the fire from his bedroom and told his dad, who immediately called 911. The father also alerted his household and neighbors before helping them evacuate.
Thanks to the actions of this father and son, our firefighters were able to get to the scene quickly and contain the damage to the property. Even a few more minutes and this fire would have been in the main attic space, causing considerable damage.
Remember, always call 911 to report a fire! It can make a difference in saving someone’s life.
