Overhead Power Line Car Crash

What to do if you are in an accident that involves a utility pole and a downed power wire. Onlookers should never attempt to get close to the downed power line, or attempt to drive over one. If you’re in the vehicle, stay put, and warn others to stay at least 35-feet, or about three car lengths, from the power line. Then call 911. Open VS Closed Door Decibels: As part of the Close Before You Doze outreach initiative, Steve Kerber, the Director of the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute took measurements with a sound level meter and recorded the difference between the loudness of a smoke detector with and without an average interior home door in between. Gwinnett County, GA, fire investigators play a critical role in determining the cause and origin of fires. They are part of the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services team and are specially trained to investigate fire scenes, collect evidence, and determine whether a fire was accidental, intentional, or caused by other factors. Tonights CPAAAG meeting attendees had the opportunity to hear an awesome presentation from our Fire Department friends regarding fire investigations.
