On February 2, 2025, at 5:18 p.m. firefighters responded to a neighbor’s report of a townhome fire on the 3300 block of Fernview Drive in Lawrenceville.
Upon arrival, fire crews found smoke from a multi-family, two-story middle of the row townhome on a slab. While investigating, firefighters found fire involvement in the garage. Firefighters deployed one 1 ¾ hose line to quickly extinguish the flames and keep them from extending into the rest of the structure. Fire crews completed primary and secondary searches of the entire structure, including the exposures, to reveal them clear of all occupants. The remaining crews were utilized for RIT, a second means of egress, securing utilities, and ventilation of the structure. The house sustained moderate fire damage to the garage with minor smoke extension into the second floor. No fire was found on the second floor, attic, or the adjacent units. The fire was under control at 5:57 p.m. Firefighters used CO and HCN monitors to confirm the air quality inside the home. Medical crews on the scene were utilized for rehab.
No occupants were injured, and assistance from the American Red Cross was denied.
