Donate adult-sized, warm gloves to help support veterans

If you would like to donate to Gwinnett Great Days of Service, they are looking for adult-sized, warm gloves to help support veterans in need. Please choose thermal or stretch gloves to ensure lasting winter warmth. Drop off can be at any of these locations or at the event on the 26th: From October 4 to October 21, donation boxes will be available at these locations, coordinated by your division's Volunteer Gwinnett liaison: 1. BioLab Explosion (RockDale) – Updates

A chemical plant fire in Rockdale County released chlorine and hydrochloric acid into the air, leading to a thick smoke haze and strong chlorine smell in neighboring Gwinnett County on Sunday. Gwinnett County emergency services responded to 179 air-quality related calls, but local officials assured the public there is no immediate health risk. A malfunctioning sprinkler head at BioLab in Conyers caused water to mix with a water-reactive chemical, leading to a fire and the subsequent smoke plume affecting the area.
