Take this day to reflect, honor, and remember that freedom is not free! Celebrate Veterans Day with us by taking the day to honor those who served. To veterans everywhere, THANK YOU! America isn't the land of the free without the brave—Happy Veterans Day! Our headquarters will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. However, the 31 fire stations around the county will remain open and ready to respond to any emergencies.

Thanksgiving Food Giveaway !!! Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office is hosting their 4th annual Thanksgiving food give away on November 7th at location: Gwinnett County Fairgrounds ( 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville) . Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office has partnered with Volunteer Gwinnett & Southeast Cooperative Food Ministry to host this event. Food Item to prepare a Thanksgiving Meal will be provided to families in need. Only one food box per household while supplies last.

Firefighters at a house fire in Lakeside Drive – Dacula

Firefighters responded at 6:19 a.m. to a report of a house fire in the 2300 block of Lakeside Drive SE in Dacula. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a working fire in a two-story split-level house, with heavy flames on the left side. Crews quickly began a transitional attack with multiple hose lines and brought the fire under control in approximately 25 mintues. During a search of the home, one cat was found deceased. No other injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting one adult occupant who was displacced due to the damage. A fire investigator determined the fire to…
