Tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail expected tonight
Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to impact most of North Georgia with the strong possibility of damaging winds, tornadoes, hail in some parts, and flash flooding.
Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between midnight and 5 am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 am. Some of the storms could be severe. Low around 61. Southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
