Sugarloaf Ascension Sculpture

Gwinnett County and the Sugarloaf Community Improvement District held a ribbon-cutting to officially present the Sugarloaf Ascension Sculpture as an entry point to Gwinnett’s downtown. The stainless-steel sculpture, located at the corner of Sugarloaf Parkway and the Interstate 85 southbound exit ramp, is 37 feet tall and weighs more than 20,000 pounds, making it one of the largest sculptures in Gwinnett County

Our Department of Information Technology Services received a National Association of Counties achievement award for the Police and Fire Department Citizen Classes Registration Online system. This user-friendly web application allows residents to register online for public safety programs — including CPR training, youth education, and firearm safety classes — offered by both Gwinnett County Police and Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.
