Annual Outdoor Burning Ban — 01-May till 30-Sep

The first day of our annual outdoor burning ban begins next week — Thursday, May 1. As a reminder, this ban is established statewide by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division and will be in effect until September 30, 2025. Please remember that burning yard debris is limited to leaves, limbs, etc. that fall on your property. Burning solid waste, household garbage, or any material that creates heavy dark smoke (rubber products, oils, roofing material, etc.) is prohibited.
