Summer is a great time to clean out your garage or basement and bring any hazardous waste to the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds on on Saturday, July 26, from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Your help ensures these harmful materials are handled responsibly, protecting our beautiful county for everyone. Check the expiration date on your fire extinguisher! The best place to keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen is: Near the exit — not too close to the stove or cooking area. This ensures you can access it quickly in an emergency without having to reach through flames or a hot zone. Ideally, mount it on a wall 4–5 feet off the ground, within easy reach.
