On October 2, 2025, our Gwinnett Citizens Fire Academy Class #38 had the opportunity to learn from the highly skilled Technical Rescue Team at Station 24.From high-angle rope rescues and confined space operations to structural collapses and vehicle extrications, these firefighters are specially trained to handle some of the most complex and challenging rescue situations imaginable.We’re proud to share a glimpse of their incredible work and the dedication it takes to serve and protect our community in every emergency.Enjoy these photos from an exciting and eye-opening evening with Gwinnett County Fire & Emergency Services! For Images :

t’s time to check in on our newest Gwinnett Citizens Fire Academy recruits! On September 25th, Class #38 got hands-on experience learning some of the most vital tasks our Gwinnett County firefighters perform every day — including hose work, following the hose in low-visibility conditions, using air tanks and breathing apparatus, and exploring the many tools carried on a fire truck.These photos capture teamwork, dedication, and a glimpse into the incredible skills and training our firefighting heroes use to keep our community safe.

Earlier today, we had the privilege of celebrating the remarkable life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter at the first-ever Jimmy Carter Day at Best Friend Park. Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson presented the Carter family with a Key to the County and Proclamation to honor Carter’s lasting impact on our community and beyond. Thank you to everyone who joined in-person and virtually!
