Saturday morning at the Smoke Alarm Blitz in Norcross! CFA volunteers, Fire Educators, and Firefighters visited approximately 140 homes, and were able to install approximately 42 smoke alarms and CO detectors. These efforts are critical to keeping families safe by ensuring they have working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in their homes. Your dedication to learning this life saving skill makes all the difference. Learning CPR is vital because: It can double or triple the chances of survival during a cardiac arrest. Big thanks to the firefighters, fire educators, and CFA volunteers for organizing the Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training at Gas South Arena (6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Duluth 30098) this past Wednesday, 12/11/24. Learning how to extinguish a fire safely and effectively is a crucial skill that can save lives and minimize property damage. We're so grateful for the time and effort put into educating our community about fire safety!

A huge THANK YOU to the anonymous donor for the incredible gift of holiday turkeys delivered to all 31 fire stations! 🎁🦃 Your generosity has brought so much joy and warmth this season. We also want to recognize the CFA volunteers who worked tirelessly to deliver these turkeys to our amazing firefighters. Your dedication to supporting our first responders is inspiring!

Join us in helping spread a little cheer this holiday season with Gwinnett County Police's Fill the Sleigh Toy Drive! From now through Friday, December 13, we're accepting toy donations at the following locations: • Fire Headquarters, 408 Hurricane Shoals Road NE, Lawrenceville • Fire Training Academy, 3608 Braselton Highway, Dacula Toys should be new, unwrapped, and priced at $10 or more. Youth basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, and gift cards are great gifts for teenagers. Toy weapons will not be accepted. Let’s help bring holiday joy to families in our community!
