After more than two decades of dedicated service, Captain Micah Lynn is retiring from Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services.Captain Lynn began his career with Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services on April 14, 2001, following his time as a wildfire firefighter with the Georgia Forestry Commission. Thanksgiving Food Giveaway

Join the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and Volunteer Gwinnett at the 2025 Thanksgiving Food Giveaway at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed Monday, November 3 through Wednesday, November 5 to prepare food boxes. Volunteers are also needed on Thursday, November 6 to distribute the food boxes to families in need. This outdoor opportunity involves standing and lifting, so gloves, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Volunteer groups of all sizes are welcome to register at this fun, annual event now in its fifth year.
