CPR Classes

CPR Classes
February is American Heart Month. ❤️
Every year, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics respond to cardiac emergencies where every second matters. When CPR starts before crews arrive, survival chances can double or even triple.
Hands-Only CPR can save a life, and it’s easier than you think:

➡️ Sign up for a CPR class at one of our local fire stations: GwinnettCounty.com/CPRClasses

Make sure the scene is safe and check for responsiveness
Call 911 if the person is unresponsive and not breathing normally
Place both hands in the center of the chest
Push hard and fast: about 100–120 beats per minute, at least 2 inches deep
Let the chest rise fully between compressions
Keep going until help arrives or an AED is available
You don’t need formal medical training to act, but CPR classes give you confidence when seconds matter most.
Want to feel confident if someone you love needs help?
Our fire educators teach CPR classes right here in our community at local fire stations, and we’d love to train you.
