(1) Holiday Family Photos:

Now through December 19

The halls are decked for Holiday Family Photos at the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse. Sign up for a free 30-minute session to snap your own photos in one of the beautifully decorated settings. Sessions are available 10:00am to 4:00pm weekdays, now through December 19. To make an appointment, call 770.822.5450 (ext. 1) or email GwinnettHistoricRentals@GwinnettCounty.com.

(2) Winter Wonderland Ball :

Saturday, December 13 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Celebrate the winter holidays with music, dancing, games, and refreshments! An evening of fun for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers and families. Open to ages 15 and up. Register online. Rhodes Jordan Park Community Recreation Center, 100 East Crogan Street, Lawrenceville. Event cost: $6 for Gwinnett residents; $11 for non-residents

(3) First Day Hike:

Thursday, January 1, 2026 from 10:00am to Noon

Start your 2026 on a refreshing note with a guided First Day of the Year hike! Leave behind the holiday bustle and step into the tranquil beauty of a Georgia winter wonderland. This hike will be along the paved trail at Harbins Park for a total of 3 miles. Open to ages 8 and up. Harbins Park, 2995 Luke Edwards Road, Dacula. Event cost: Free!

(4) Yappy Hour: New Year, New Bestie: 

Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Start the year off right — with fresh starts, healthy habits, and maybe even a brand-new furry best friend! Join us for Yappy Hour to learn tips on keeping pets happy and healthy, meet adoptable animals, and celebrate the joy of second chances. Open to all ages. Register online. Bill Atkinson Animal Welfare Center, 884 Winder Highway, Lawrenceville. Event cost: Free!
