Lithium-ion batteries can be dangerous if not used safely. To prevent fires, you can: 

    • Store properlyKeep batteries away from heat, direct sunlight, and anything flammable. Store them in a cool, dry place.
    • Use the correct chargerUse the charger that came with the device, or a third-party charger designed for the device.
    • Avoid overchargingUnplug devices once they are fully charged. 
    • Monitor temperatureStop using devices if they become too hot or swollen. 
    • Handle with careIf a battery is damaged, swollen, or leaking, do not use it.
    • Dispose properlyRecycle batteries at a local battery recycling location.
    • Follow manufacturer instructionsAlways follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging, usage, and maintenance.
    • Be preparedIn the event of a fire, know how to deal with the situation and activate emergency equipment.
