Jason DiFranco, Director of Development and Community Relationships at Gwinnett County Public Library, gave a really inspiring talk at our March 1 meeting. We learned (and were very impressed) with how much the Gwinnett Library System has expanded it’s reach beyond its core mission to provide food assistance, to deliver high-quality wireless internet “outside the walls” to those who need the connection, and so much more. We learned about the library system’s expansion plans, and we realized, with his demonstrated enthusiasm, how lucky we are to have Mr. DiFranco work in our county.
At our next monthly meeting on April 5th, Jennifer Wagner with the Animal Alliance is scheduled to speak. This promises to be a very interesting and informative meeting. More to come!
