Gwinnett firefighters responded at 9:55 p.m. last night to a house fire in the 4000 block of Tower View Trail SW in Snellville, after a neighbor reported flames coming from the roof.
Crews arrived to find a working fire and quickly brought it under control with fire damage limited to the attic space. One occupant safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters determined the fire was caused by a lightning strike during a strong line of storms moving through the area.
