EMTs Vs Paramedics – GFES Trainings

All Gwinnett emergency response vehicles are staffed with EMTs and paramedics! But what is the difference between an EMT and a paramedic? EMTs can provide basic life support in a wide range of situations, including cardiac arrest and traumatic injuries. In contrast, paramedics can provide more advanced care and administer a broad range of medications. We train all our personnel to a minimum level of EMT and provide opportunities to progress to advanced EMT and paramedic licensure. We’d love to have you on our team if these careers interest you.
