Welcome CFA Class #37 We are excited to welcome CFA Class #37! Last night was the second class night for Class #37. It was an action-packed night focused on Swift Water Rescue at Station 14. Last night they got a behind-the-scenes look at the training, tools, and teamwork it takes to perform these life-saving rescues. Get ready to dive into knowledge (not literally -- we hope! ) and experience the incredible skill and dedication of our Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Servicesteams. Register For Drug Awareness & Drowning Prevention We’re pleased to offer a once-a-month program giving youth, grades 9 through 12, the opportunity to connect with police officers. The interactive sessions will focus on a variety of safety and security topics that will teach youth how to safely navigate different scenarios. Each class will run from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at our Training Center and police precincts across Gwinnett County. Registration is required, and seating is limited. Classes are for youth only. FireArm Safety Training Firearm safety training is crucial for everyone, regardless of experience level, because it promotes responsible ownership and ensures the safety of individuals and communities. Proper training helps reduce the risk of accidental discharges and mishandling, which can lead to injuries or fatalities. We will focus on the ethical and legal responsibilities of owning a firearm, including secure storage and compliance with Georgia laws. Classes are held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Fire Headquarters, located at 408 Hurricane Shoals Road NE in Lawrenceville! This class is open to everyone ages 14 and older to help you feel more comfortable dealing with emergencies related to cardiac arrest.
