Veterans Day Stand Down at GJAC  Today we were honored to be part of the Veterans Day Stand Down at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center (GJAC) — right by the Veterans Memorial.  CFA Volunteers, Community Risk Reduction Educators, and our Gwinnett County Firefighters joined together to teach Hands-Only CPR and share lifesaving safety information with our veterans and community members. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by and participated — your engagement helps make Gwinnett County a safer place for all.

Mobile Food Distributions – Tuesday’s – Nov & Dec – Register

Since 2020, Volunteer Gwinnett and the Atlanta Community Food Bank have partnered to provide residents with fresh and shelf-stable food through monthly drive-thru and walk-up distributions. These volunteer opportunities take place on Tuesday afternoons, with volunteers helping to sort, pack, and distribute food outdoors, rain or shine. Volunteers of all abilities are welcome. Register to volunteer in November or December.

Thanksgiving Food Giveaway – 05/06-Nov-2025

Join the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office and Volunteer Gwinnett at the 2025 Thanksgiving Food Giveaway at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. Volunteers are needed now through Wednesday, November 5 to prepare food boxes and Thursday, November 6 to distribute the food boxes to families in need during the event. This outdoor opportunity involves standing and lifting, so gloves, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. Volunteer groups of all sizes are welcome to register at this fun, annual event now in its fifth year. A huge thank you to our amazing CFA volunteers, dedicated CRR Educators, and our Gwinnett County Firefighters for sharing their time, knowledge, and passion for saving lives.                Serving Our Community — One Car at a Time!  Today’s food distribution event at Best Friend Park in Norcross was an incredible effort — and a powerful reminder of the need in our community. CFA Alumni volunteers joined forces with our partners to help serve over 600 cars, providing food and essentials to families in need. Thanks Giving – Lighting of the Tree

The tradition continues! Come ring in the holiday season at Lighting of the Tree on Thanksgiving night, November 27 on the lawn of the Gwinnett Historic Courthouse. From 5:30pm to 8:00pm, enjoy live entertainment, kids’ activities, a gingerbread house contest, s’mores, and Santa’s grand arrival to light the tree! He’ll stick around to greet visitors and take photos in the Courthouse, which will also be open for self-guided tours. Marvel at the dazzling décor and architectural beauty of this historic building, decked in yuletide glitz inside and out!
