Thursday, December 25 is a trash and recycling holiday for residents who live in unincorporated Gwinnett County. Collection occurs the day after the holiday for those affected. Residents who live within city limits should contact their solid waste hauler to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.

Gwinnett’s tag office hours are changing. Beginning January 1, tag offices across the county will be open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Call center hours will stay the same. Residents can also access convenient self-service alternatives, including 16 self-service kiosks around the county and online services. Today, we proudly honor Battalion Chief Matt Bowen as he retires from Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services after an extraordinary career that began on November 2, 1996. For Chief Bowen, the fire service was more than a career, it was a calling sparked early in life after growing up near a Gwinnett County firefighter.
