Recycle your items at America Recycles Day Have some hard-to-recycle items? Rain or shine, you can bring them to America Recycles Day on Saturday, November 8 from 9:00am to noon at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Lawrenceville. Volunteers will remove items placed in disposable containers from the trunk or back seat of your vehicle. Recycling electronics is free except for projection/console TVs ($35), computer monitors ($15), and printers ($5). For a full list of acceptable items, visit GwinnettCB.org or call 770.822.7141. Property tax bills due November 15 The 2025 Gwinnett County property tax bills, mailed in September, are due on November 15. If you have an escrow account, your property information is made available to your mortgage company. However, it is your responsibility to ensure taxes are paid. Vote in advance for the Special Election Registered voters can cast their ballots early for the November 4 Special Election. Vote advance in person every day, including Saturday and Sunday, from October 14 to October 31 at the Gwinnett Voter Registrations and Elections Office in Lawrenceville and 11 advance voting locations throughout the county. If you prefer to vote by mail, request an absentee ballot until Friday, October 24. Visit GwinnettElections.com for more information.

Gwinnett County and the Sugarloaf Community Improvement District held a ribbon-cutting to officially present the Sugarloaf Ascension Sculpture as an entry point to Gwinnett’s downtown. The stainless-steel sculpture, located at the corner of Sugarloaf Parkway and the Interstate 85 southbound exit ramp, is 37 feet tall and weighs more than 20,000 pounds, making it one of the largest sculptures in Gwinnett County

Our Department of Information Technology Services received a National Association of Counties achievement award for the Police and Fire Department Citizen Classes Registration Online system. This user-friendly web application allows residents to register online for public safety programs — including CPR training, youth education, and firearm safety classes — offered by both Gwinnett County Police and Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services. The platform streamlines the enrollment process, reduces administrative workload, and improves overall service delivery.
