Several Gwinnett County departments were recognized for their outstanding services by the National Association of Counties and National Association of County Information Officers, earning 29 NACo Achievement Awards and four NACIO Awards of Excellence. Gwinnett’s awarded entries span a range of departments, including Parks and Recreation, Water Resources, Information Technology Services, Planning and Development, and Communications.
From resident engagement to emergency preparedness and technical advances, these services and programs reflect the County’s ongoing efforts to deliver high-quality initiatives that meet evolving community needs.
Since 1970, the NACo Achievement Awards have recognized outstanding county government programs and services. NACIO Awards honor the innovative, creative, and outstanding work of county government communicators and professional public information officers nationwide.
