Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month

Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month
January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the increased cancer risks firefighters face in the line of duty, and the importance of prevention, protection, and early detection.

From fire suppression to EMS response, exposure to hazardous substances can happen on any call. Our firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics work year-round to reduce risks through proper gear use, decontamination practices, and health monitoring, all to stay ready to serve the community.

This month, we honor those affected and reaffirm our commitment to safety, awareness, and long-term health for our first responders.
