Check the expiration date on your fire extinguisher!
The best place to keep a fire extinguisher in the kitchen is:
Near the exit — not too close to the stove or cooking area.
This ensures you can access it quickly in an emergency without having to reach through flames or a hot zone. Ideally, mount it on a wall 4–5 feet off the ground, within easy reach.
Also: Make sure it’s clearly visible and unobstructed
Check the pressure gauge monthly
Keep it up-to-date and know how to use it (PASS: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep)
