If you're a new or long-time gun owner, it's always smart to review firearm safety skills. We offer several Firearm Safety and Security classes throughout the year to share guidelines and best practices for safe gun handling. These classes are taught by law enforcement personnel at all police precincts. Registration is required to participate, and seating is limited. Gwinnett Fire and Emergency Services joined forces with Gwinnett Police for a swift water rescue training. This joint operation showcased how our first responders work together to save lives during dangerous flood conditions. From specialized equipment to coordinated tactics, the goal is always the same: saving lives and protecting property. Safety Tip: Never enter moving water, especially during floods or in unfamiliar and fast-flowing bodies or water. If you see someone in danger, call 911 — our trained teams are ready.

Absentee Voting Application: Application deadline is October 24. Advance Voting: In-person early voting is available from October 14 through October 31. Due to the holiday on Monday, September 1, there will be no trash or recycling collection for residents who live in unincorporated Gwinnett County. Collection for affected residents will be delayed one day following the holiday. Residents who live within city limits should contact their solid waste hauler to find out if collection will be delayed due to the holiday.
