Get Buzzing – Great Southeast Pollinator Census!

Native bees play a vital role in pollinating Georgia’s fruit and vegetable crops — including blueberries and watermelons — along with wildflowers, shrubs, and trees that protect watersheds and provide food and shelter for other wildlife. Join the statewide effort to improve pollinator health during the Great Southeast Pollinator Census on August 22 and August 23, and spend 15 minutes logging the pollinators you see at your home, school, or workplace, then submit your findings to GSEPC.org. Enhanced Glass Recycling Locations

Gwinnett Solid Waste and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful have taken steps to make glass recycling more accessible for residents at each of the 13 locations around the county. Each glass recycling location now features an island of carts, with a hole on top, allowing residents to recycle glass items. In addition, the larger main container at each location now features a platform, allowing residents an easier way to deposit glass in the main recycling container.
