We want to recognize an everyday hero here in our community for his selflessness and quick actions.
Engine 19, Medic 19, and Battalion 4 personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision last summer where a civilian acted selflessly to help another resident in need.
This good Samaritan heard a loud commotion near his home and investigated the noise, only to find a vehicle upside down and beginning to catch fire. After forcing the vehicle’s door open, this resident was able to pull the victim to a safe distance, where our crews provided further assistance.
We’d like to thank this resident, who went above and beyond to help a complete stranger.
