National Battery Day

National Battery Day
🔋 February is National Battery Day

Batteries don’t just power devices; they help save lives. Working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors depend on properly functioning batteries to alert families during emergencies.

Firefighters encourage residents to:

• Test smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms monthly
• Replace batteries at least once a year, or when chirping
• Never remove batteries from alarms
• Use the correct battery type recommended by the manufacturer

A working alarm gives you the early warning you need to get out and stay out during a fire or carbon monoxide emergency.

🔥 Small batteries. Big impact.
