On Saturday, November 15, the Yellow River Water Trail joined Gwinnett Parks and Recreation, Gwinnett Water Resources, and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful to support the 10th annual Yellow River Trash Bash. The Yellow River begins north of Lawrenceville and flows through Gwinnett County as part of its 76-mile course, making it a vital resource for our local environment.
Across 15 cleanup sites, 180 volunteers removed 3,995 pounds of debris, including 32 tires, 26 bags of trash, and several unusual items like a deer stand, car door, office chair, sled, hard hats, and a basketball hoop. Volunteers also cleared a quarter-acre of invasive plants.
